Yolanda Vida studied chemistry at the University of Málaga (Spain) and received his PhD in Chemistry from the same University in 2006. She studied the synthesis and properties of Photoactive Cyclophanes under the supervision of Prof. Rafael Suau and Prof. Ezequiel Perez-Inestrosa. She was Visiting Researcher in the Laboratoire de Chimie Organique et Organometallique (LCOO) of the University of Bordeaux-1 (CNRS-UMR 5802), in 2003 where she worked on Supramolecular Chemistry. She was postdoctoral researcher in the group of Prof. Luisa De Cola in the Physikalisches Institut, Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität Münster, Germany, from 2006 to 2008. During this period she studied the photophysical properties of metallic complex and the synthesis, characterization and functionalization of nanostructures (micelles, zeolites and silica nanoparticles). Presently, she is Assistant Professor of Organic Chemistry at the University of Malaga.
